How can a Christian

Simply a question:

I always read: I believe in abortion, but not as a form of birth control, only for impaired babies, and rapes....

Well, I assume you aren't christian correct? The book plainly states he will not put anything on you that you cannot handle...So I guess it is ok from time to time to not handle if you dont have the time or energy??? Again.not saying I'm some big christian, but if your claiming to be one, not sure that is the best arguement for abortion for you...

Not that I'm not going with all of you, but a fairly common AC/DC song plays in the back of my head as I read what some people now see as the Truth...

So at the point it can live outside the mother it IS life (In your opinion)

So at that point should it be protected?

That is my view Counts...and no, neutral..I don't profess to be a Christian. I believe in God, but I don't believe that only one demonination or religion is necessairily a correct means of worshipping God...or that one religion is the only way to God...My belief is that all religions worship the same God, regardless of what name each individual religion calls him.

I'm speaking to Christians who believe the Bible, not pseudo-Christians who think they can live "good" enough to get to Heaven. And Christians know that God said unto Jeremiah that He "knew him" before, during, and after birth. David speaks of the marvelous creation of humankind and the miracle of conception and birth. Life begins at conception to the Christian that believes the Word.

If you'd read my post you'd know I don't profess to be Christian..so it makes absolutely no sense at all to quote me.

Then why are you responding to a question that was directed at Christians? I'm looking for opinions from fellow believers, not agnostics.

No, the lack of Christians taking a stand is what has "ran" this country in the ground. Many in politics claim Christianity but their actions don't bear out proof of it.

Don't worry though, because Jesus will be coming to take "Christians who believe the bible" away soon so we won't interfere with your beliefs or your "country". May God have mercy on your soul then!

Then why did Jefferson write to Dr. Benjamin Rush 0n 4/23/1803:
"My views are the result of a life of inquiry and reflection, and very different from the anti-christian system imputed to to me by those who know nothing of my opinions. To the corruptions of christianity I am, indeed,opposed; but not to the genuine precepts of Jesus himself. I am a christian in the only sense in which He wished anyone to be; sincerely attached to His doctrines in preference to all others."

He also designated 3 times the use of lands "for the sole purpose of Christian Indians and the Moravian Brethren missionaries for civilizing the Indians and promoting christianity."

On 3/4/1805, offering a National Prayer for Peace and in closing said: "In time of prosperity fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in Thee to fail, all of which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen."

And on the Title page of his Bible: "A more beautiful or precious morsel of ethics I have never seen; it is a document of proof that I am a real christian; that is to say, a disciple of Jesus Christ".

He also declared that religion in other countries is deemed as incompatible with good government and yet proved by our experience to be it's best support.

So by his own words he is a christian.
